This is the orientation training that every worker must know.  The training is an overview of the safety requirements that every worker must know and abide by. Deals with many aspects of work life such as:

  9. hazard reporting

  10. performance evaluations

  1. This [2.1 Company Safety Program Task Hazard Assessment Code of Practice (COP)] has been shortened to [PROGRAM HA COP] for obvious reasons, is done for the entire company.

  2. A Code of practise (COP) is a chapter in our Safety Program where we categorize similar tasks.

  3. The [PROGRAM HA COP] is used to determine the controls necessary for each position, profession, environment, equipment and includes all tasks that the company performs.

  4. These controls must be developed prior to the work starting. They must consider many things such as:

    1. Legislation,

    2. Manufactures procedures

    3. Industry Practices,

    4. Inspection requirements,

    5. Permit and form development,

    6. Emergency preparations,

    7. Procedures

    8. Competency requirements,

  5. All of these considerations are contained in our codes of practice (COP)’s and must be accepted by senior management as they are ultimately liable as legislated in Due Diligence.

  6. This [PROGRAM HA COP] is designed to assist employers and employees in understanding potential hazards and finding suitable controls for each task.

  7. It is designed to be used as reference and training material to ensure that supervisors and employees understand the legal and company requirements.
